A Change in Perspective

Here is what I see when I look at this picture:

*dirty dishes in the sink--I had a slow morning

*milk jug empty--time to go grocery shopping

*pop-tarts for breakfast, seriously?--I really had a slow morning

*overripe bananas--perfect for my daily green smoothie
(oh yeah, I already ate a pop-tart)

*the "January platter" is still on display and it is February 8--
I'm going to lose the "fun mom" prize real soon

*the photo I took that took 2 hours and isn't great

This picture makes me feel so discouraged!

TIME FOR A CHANGE IN PERSPECTIVE!

Here is what I see when I look at this picture:

*the photography book I have been reading all morning

*the notes I have been taking from the photography book

*my favorite drink (diet cherry dr. pepper) in my favorite glass

*the sun shining on my cabinets

*the photo I took that took 2 hours and isn't great,
but I learned a lot of new things

*the photo I edited with "happy colors"

*a blurry background of things that can wait

This picture makes me feel happy!

"One of our most urgent present-day needs is to houseclean our thinking. Because two opposite thoughts cannot co-exist in the mind at the same moment, the best way to get rid of undesirable thoughts is by antedoting them with good. The best way to get darkness out of a room is to fill it with light. The best way to kill the negative is to cultivate the positive, and the best way to improve our lives is to improve our thoughts."

  2. Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper really? I love the second picture especially that you pointed out the sun on the cabinets.
